So how did you do? My January 7 blog post encouraged you to keep track of expenditures for the month of January. Found this too difficult as you battled with so many other New Year’s resolutions? Fine, we’ll make it less cumbersome. 

For most, the word budget rings of restrictive spending, retentive calculating and in the end for most, sheer frustration. I often compare the word budget to the word diet. How may of us are excited to be on a diet? How many of us stay on a diet? So how do we change the lexicon in the world of financial planning from budget to the more palatable spending plan?
