One of Purposeful Financial and Legacy Planning's key values is to support the local community. In support of that value, we will highlight a Northern Colorado charity each month. Additionally, we support that charity with a donation.
This month we are highlighting the Colorado Children's Alliance, "a membership organization dedicated to helping local communities respond to allegations of child abuse in ways that are effective and efficient – and put the needs of child victims first. It provides training, support, technical assistance, and leadership on a statewide level to local children’s and child advocacy centers and communities throughout Colorado responding to reports of child abuse and neglect." In a nutshell, the alliance empowers the various child advocacy centers to serve victims of child abuse.
The Colorado Children's Alliance is a nonprofit organization that coordinates the efforts of child protection staff, law enforcement professionals, family advocates, medical experts, and mental health clinicians under one roof. This short Vimeo video explains how a Child Advocacy Center (CAC) works:
THEIR VISION:
SAFE AND HEALTHY CHILDREN SUPPORTED BY A STRONG NETWORK OF CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER’S, STATEWIDE PARTNERS, AND COMMUNITIES WORKING TOGETHER TO KEEP CHILDREN FREE FROM ABUSE.
Clients Paul and Sylvia Hiple recommend and support this charity because "the Children's Advocacy Center prevents and responds to child abuse by providing an array of programs and staff expertise to build strong families and keep children safe. Their intervention to violence yields healthy and productive children that can grow and contribute to society. Every gift to the Children's Advocacy Center is money well spent. Please join us as we work to improve the world, one child at a time."
