I love new beginnings. They are fresh starts which allow us a chance to wipe the slate clean, to forget about everything that has gone before, and to be curious and excited about our future.
Every day is a chance for a new beginning. But, New Year’s Day is the ultimate “fresh start.”
Forget the discouraging events of the past and put them in perspective. Every one of us has had events in our lives that have not gone as well as we had hoped. It is time to learn the lessons from each of those events and to carry the learnings forward toward our purpose and our vision for our life.
T.S. Eliot said, “For last year’s words belong to last year’s language. And next year’s words await another voice.”
Walt Disney told us to be curious. He stated, “We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”
What are you curious about this year? Take this day to think about your life and what you want to do with it.
