The five best books Bill Gates read in 2014 – MarketWatch

Unlike many other best books lists, the co-founder of Microsoft Corp. MSFT, +0.03% isn’t restricting himself to those published this year, just those he particularly enjoyed during the past 12 months.

Like many of us, he falls behind on his reading list and rereads old favorites.

Still, he does include one book that isn’t out until the end of the year (he was given an advance copy).

What’s he liking? Most of this year’s reading, he notes on his blog, touched on economics and business. But he does include one novel on his list of the best.

Keep reading for his picks. And for those who want to focus on great books for investors, here’s a (non-Bill Gates) list.
